“ Food was awesome and views are spectacular. We got here when it opened and it filled up fast. We sat upstairs foe even better views. ”
“ Riva Grill on the Lake is definitely a place you don't want to miss when in South Lake Tahoe. We go solely for the wet woodys, but they have an amazing food selection as well as a gorgeous lakeside view. Our server was over the top! Very helpful and polite. I wish I remembered her name, short hair colored eyes with an almost Australian accent? Very nice woman. And yes folks, they make virgin wet woodys! ”
“ Picture yourself sitting out on the patio, gazing over a serene lake with boats gently gliding by, all while savoring the perfect weather with a refreshing drink in hand. The service here is impeccable – attentive and friendly, making you feel truly welcome. And then there are the sticky ribs: tender, flavorful, and coated in a caramelized sauce that’s the perfect blend of sweet and tangy. It’s so good, it practically melts in your mouth! If only they served it with rice – it would be the ultimate pairing. Definitely a spot worth visiting! ”
“ My wife and I had a great morning and early afternoon here. Great food and drinks! A little pricey but it's Tahoe and to be expected. We had a wonderful view of the Lake and a patient and extremely proficient server named Sam. (We stayed 3 1/2 hours. When a table is occupied that long the courteous thing to do is leave a tip equivalent to the normal number of guest who would have been served during that time. If you don't you're robbing that server. Most meals can be completed in an hour so we tipped for 3 tables.) The breakfast/brunch menu could be expanded. Maybe add some omelets or skillets. That would be my only complaint but what they did offer was delicious. We will definitely return. ”
“ Lake front restaurant with two levels of dining experience. Checkin was swift, and we were seated with the lake views. Starters, main course and dessert were delicious! Parking is nearby and plenty! ”
“ The poke bowl was absolutely incredible—I could eat two of them! Honestly, the best poke bowl I’ve ever had. The garlic bread was also amazing. Fish and fries weren’t really my favorite, but the burger was delicious and everything was super fresh. Definitely recommend! ”
“ A Must-Visit Gem in South Lake Tahoe – Riva Grill Never Disappoints! If you’re looking for a dining experience that checks every box—phenomenal food, exceptional service, and breathtaking views—look no further than Riva Grill. Nestled right on the shores of Lake Tahoe, this place delivers more than just a meal—it delivers a memory. We grabbed a table on their outdoor deck, which offered the perfect backdrop of snow-capped mountains and crystal-clear lake views. Absolutely unbeatable. Now, let’s talk food: The fish and chips? Crispy, flaky perfection. The crab cakes? Unexpectedly delicious—we’re still talking about them! The steamed clams? Savory, fresh, and absolutely satisfying. Every dish was served hot and fresh, with flavors that exceeded expectations. The wait staff was attentive, warm, and genuinely welcoming—striking the perfect balance between professional and personable. Whether you’re celebrating something special or just want to soak in the Tahoe vibe, Riva Grill is a must-visit. We’ll be back every chance we get. ”
“ Great food, almost couldn't choose what to get everything looked so amazing. Great staff and service and the views are worth it. ”
